Recently I was asked the question:
”Why do you use #letslead in your social media posts and newsletters?”
Let’s Lead is also the name I chose for my Leadership Community on Facebook.
LET’S LEAD is about helping people become the best version of themselves in every area of their lives through leadership.
The moment people take full ownership of their lives and become LEADERS in the broadest sense of the word, they create extraordinary results for themselves and those around them!
Here’s is what I saw happen when clients started to lean into their LEADERSHIP:
- A Financial Director of a global company always avoided confrontation. He started voicing his opinion more, grew his confidence, and built a strong executive presence. #letslead
- A senior leader in a government organization was about to quit her job. She reconnected with the aspects of her work that she was passionate about and got promoted to an exciting global role in the organization. #letslead
- An owner of a successful tech start-up was on the brink of burnout. He gained clarity and focus on the goals for his business, adjusted his strategy, and made some bold decisions for himself and his team. He recently raised new capital for his company. #letslead
- An HR executive at a global bank felt unsure about the direction of the new leadership team. She went after a new role and is now leading one of the most strategically important projects that will change the entire culture at the bank. #letslead
- A general counsel covered up her fear of not being good enough by working 80 hours a week, trying to prove herself. She completely redesigned her life and now enjoys a comfortable and healthy work/life balance. #letslead
- A newly promoted partner in her firm suffered from imposter syndrome. She discovered WHO she wanted to be as a leader and recently won a leadership award.
- A project director who was frustrated and angry that others undermined his position changed his approach and started building stronger relationships. #letslead
- A senior leader who always depended on his intellect to find solutions, who hit an emotional bump in the road that forced him to connect with his emotions to find the solution that would impact his entire family and his business. #letslead
- An executive who was used to always winning but saw himself in competition with an ‘opponent’ who was stronger than him, until he changed his outlook on life. He discovered his own power from which he can lead, freeing him from stress and the need to fight. #letslead
- A supervisor who had to integrate two ‘dysfunctional’ teams into one, began to see the qualities in people and introduced a new work style that created trust and commitment, leading the team to be successful in 3 months. #letslead
You always have a choice;
Settle for the life you have, hoping it will change
OR
Decide to take the LEAD and create life on your terms.
Let’s Lead!
